As shown in the photo above, these tips can be totally dis-assembled. Hidden inside are two rare-earth magnets. One may be removed to adjust the magnetic strength if needed, or, both if no magnet is wanted for certain performances. The two/one magnet(s) are supported by a spring, which, keeps them pushed towards the end of the tip, and, also facilitates their removal. All is held in place by a brass, threaded plug, which is slotted to accomodate a screwdriver for easy removal.
